When do we use the present perfect?
1. To talk about the past in a general time, NON-SPECIFIC.
Ex.: I have traveled to Mexico many times.
2. A situation that began in the past and continues to the present, with FOR and SINCE.
Ex.: Ali and Yoko have known James for 2 years. (They still know him.)
for - an amount of time
minute/s, hour/s, day/s, week/s, month/s, year/s, a long time, a short time, so long, etc.

since - a specific time
