Hi everyone,
It's been a while - I'm busy writing a paper about maxims - though I feel pressured, I'm enjoying researching and writing about this topic. I'm specifically going to look at the Italian speech community that I am a part of in Tuscany.
Lots to do this weekend besides writing this paper - have to complete another project and write my letter of intent to switch over to linguistics - YES, I finally made up my mind to do the switch! Am I ever pleased.
Though TESOL was a great program, I had outgrown it...

Hi Denise,
ReplyDeleteYou changed to linguistics? Good. Isn't it hard and complicated? I'll bet it is. I think if TESOL is not challenging enough, then linguistics will do you good, huh? I can't stand easy things, too. But I'm not saying Tesol is easy. I mean I don't know if it's easy or hard. But not matter how easy or hard you find it be, it can't be easy for me.
Pim, how nice to see you here - i came to the blog to access one of the dictionaries I loaded here and saw your post. yes, linguistics is super hard, but i really, really like it. You are a smart cookie (have you heard that expression?) so you would do well in the tesol program, I am sure. Keep in touch with me here, i'm not on facebook, it was taking up too much of my time.
ReplyDeleteI miss you - sending you my love
