Carnotaurus

In his article, Extreme Dinosaurs, National Geographic, December 2007, John Updike
discusses many types of dinosaurs, among them the Carnotaurus.
The Carnotaurus lived 82-67 million years ago in Argentina.
This dinosaur probably doesn't look like a dangerous predator, the reason for that is because it has small teeth and ting arms. It confuses you because it really is a perfect killing machine: big, bad, strong and fast. It has the some construction as the Tyrannosaurus Rex, but with horns.

  1. Very interesting summary Rustem. The word carnotaurus comes from Latin of course and it is a compound noun. Carno - meaning MEAT and taurus, meaning BULL, so the name itself means meat eating bull!

It is a little strange that this huge, scary beast has such small arms and little teeth, they just don't seem to be that proportional to the animal's frame!
