HW for 10/9 and QUIZ on the History of the English language

The homework for tomorrow is to read the Introduction and the American English sections of the reading packet I gave to you in class.

THE QUIZ tomorrow will be based on what you read for tomorrow, so definitely READ! =)

Also, we will have student presentations beginning next week on Tuesday, the 14th of October. Choose from one of the following topics:

• Music - a piece of music you like, or a composer, band you would like to tell us about.  Or... maybe you want to sing us a song or play some music for us?

• Art - an artist, or a piece of art that you would like to tell us about, that you like

• Sports - tell us about some sport you like, or about a team, or a player that you want us to know about

• Science and/or technology - any information that you find interesting and wish to share with the class
