My beautiful garden

I have a huge garden in my backyard. I have grown different kinds of vegetables such as cucumber, tomatoes, eggplant, sweet basil, zucchini, mint, and parsley.

My wife and I already started cooking these vegetables.

My wife picks the cucumber and tomatoes every morning and we eat them as part of our breakfast.

We also have lemon tree, peach tree, and grapes. I call my garden little Napa because of the grape trees. My landLoard`s son loves to climb on the grape trees and eat the grapes from the tree. You can make delicious lemonade from the lemons that we have in our garden. Peaches are still ripe and we are still waiting for them to grow so we can taste them as well. Our garden gets very quiet and breezy in the evenings, so we can sit and relax and have a cup of tea in the summer. I would like to invite you all to my garden...

My amazing weekend

Last Saturday, I went to watch FC Barcelona games. That game was Barcelona vs Chivas. Chivas is a Mexican soccer team. The game was playing in San Francisco, so my brother took me there. On the way there, the traffic was very heavy. On weekdays, just take 45 minutes to get there. But that day, it took us 2 hours. We also saw a lot of fans, they rolled down their windows and waved their favorite team's flag. One of my friends Bibek, took a Chivas team flag from the ground. We were late when we arrived there, but fortunately, the game hadn't started yet. So great! The game was wonderful, even if they just scored 1-1. Chivas scored at first, then Barcelona scored back. That is my first time to watch a live European soccer match. It was amazing. I’ll never forget it.

VIVIAN'S FIRST FIELD TRIP!

Yesterday my class went on a field trip to Tilden Park. Actually it was my first field trip.
So I was so excited. We gathered in the classroom at 9:00. But we were waiting for our classmates for a while. We left school around 10:30. We went to a bus stop nearby school.
When we were waiting for the bus, a few people bought their lunch. I bought a chicken salad & a cup of coffee. But unfortunately we missed the bus so we decided to walk until we got on the bus. I was talking with one of my classmates during the walk. It was a very good time because I got to know about her & her country’s culture.


I was very surprised while we were going to the park. Because it was so close to downtown Berkeley also it only took 10 mins. In Korea it is impossible because our country is pretty small so we don’t have enough land for relaxing places, especially near downtown.


When I arrived to the park I felt very fresh. There were lots of trees & birds & many children & beautiful sunlight. We walked along a road for a while. We got the park’s nature center then took many pictures. There were many children with their families. They were so cute & sweet.


We looked for a good lunch place. Some classmates had already gotten there, so we were able to find a good place very easily. It was so delicious & very relaxing.

Our final destination was Tilden’s Little Fame. I was a little bit disappointed. I didn’t expect the Little Farm to be that little! But it is mostly a children park I forgot about that. There was several animals, such as pigs, sheep, cows, chickens.. They were fed by the park’s workers. They were friendly & little bit smelly. :-)

I took some pictures them. We finished our field trip. I really had a great time with my classmates & my teacher. She was very nice & kind. Thanks!

Hi "Everyone",

We had a great time visiting the park with level 3 students, It was a large class today. Tilden Park wasn't as big as I thought so I wasn't too tired, so I had a lot of fun. : )(I thought I had to walk one or two hours...)
It was my first time visiting Tilden Park, so I was really looking forward (and afraid...)to go here, I also hoped to meet wild animals like lions or boas... : } Nevertheless, I only met a blue bird. @_@
I think we had too may people go together in line, so wild animals hid from us. If the weather could have been more sunny, it would have been perfect for photography. I like the place a lot, so I'll go by myself for photography next time, and If any one knows any good spot for taking photos, please tell me. :目 Thanks a lot.

Flowers are always my favorite topic.
Finally I got a new macro lens, the lens is really good but I'm still not comfortable with my camera. If I want to take better photos then I have to be savvy at using my camera, yet I'm too lazy to read the camera manual.
However, I don't really like my camera, because Olympus E510, which is my camera, has a really big problem, but I didn't know that when I bought it, after taking photos for awhile,I figured out what happened.
The viewfinder only shows 90% of the view, It should be a big problem for anyone who wants to take photos very seriously. However I didn't find people who complained about this.
I think because most people buy Canon or Nikon. I wanted to buy Nikon but it was too heavy for me, so I chose my camera because it is very light.

Unfortunately these photos were not focused right.
Sometimes my camera is difficult to focus.
but still I like my camera even though it has a big problem.

Perseid meteor shower - check it out

Hi everyone,

We had a sweet field trip today to Tilden Park where we had lunch at Jewel Lake and a visit to the Little Farm. Thanks to all who came!

Tilden Park Field Trip Plan

Hi everyone,
We planned to go on a field trip to EEC (Environmental Education Center) in Tilden Regional Park which is not very far from the shcool. We will take the bus number 65. There are two choices; one it at 9.35 or something like that and another chioce is at 10.09. There are a lot of activities there. We will bring food with us just to be safe. We will decide when to leave later, maybe it depends on when people arrive at school tomorrow. We'll see.
